Dear Room 301 Parents, 

It is my philosophy that homework be an integral part of the educational process.  Homework is necessary to provide your child additional opportunities for practice and learning supplemental to classroom time and to develop in your child lifelong study habits. 

I will assign math homework nightly and expect that it be completed and returned the following day unless otherwise noted.  All other homework will be sent home on Monday in a packet. The packet will be due the following Friday.  Homework should take between 30 to 45 minutes for your child to complete.   Please be aware that if your child is below grade level, the homework may take him or her more time to complete.  I expect my students to do the work on their own and for them to ask for help only after they have given it their best effort.  Homework will usually cover only material that students have already been taught in class. 

To help your child do his or her best work on homework, I ask that you help your child find a quiet place to work at home, help your child decide on the best time of day to do homework assignments, find a safe place to store homework when not being worked on, and make completing quality homework a priority in your home.
