Welcome to Third Grade

Hello, my name is Ms. Palma and I love teaching Third Grade.  I have a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in Kansas and California, and I have many years of teaching experience.   I came to this district last year.  I look forward to getting to know both you and your child this year as we embark on a journey of new knowledge and experiences.

Third grade is an exciting learning year filled with many new challenges.  Our curriculum builds on the learning experiences of your child’s previous years and includes a program of academic areas, the arts, character building and physical education. 

Third grade is a transitional year as your child moves from primary to intermediate grades.  This change requires more student responsibility and a development of strong work habits and study skills.  Your child’s success rests on these skills.

I believe every child can learn.  I am dedicated to accommodating children’s diverse needs, the way they learn, their experiences and interests, and facilitate their educational growth.  I also believe in a strong home-school  connection, so I will be communicating with you often.
